Types of immigrants in Canada

Canada is a country that has welcomed immigrants for decades. The country’s immigration policies have been changing over the years to meet the needs of the population.Canada has an immigration process that is specifically designed for each type of immigrant that comes into the country
There are 4 types of immigrants in Canada:
Economic immigrants.
Family class immigrants.
Refugees.
Protected persons.
Economic immigrants are those who come to Canada with skills and money in order to improve their lives and live a better life here.
Family immigrants are those who come to Canada as a parent or grandparent of an already living Canadian citizen or permanent resident.
Refugees are those who need protection from persecution in their home country and have been granted refugee status by Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC).
Protected Persons are those that have been granted protected person status by CIC due to humanitarian reasons or because they will be at risk if they return home.
